    Curator's note: Mrs Hilda Toyne was the daughter of a Colonel Maddox. Colonel Maddox collected eight pieces most likely during the Younghusband Punitive Mission to Tibet 1903-04. Although Maddox was said to have been presented with one of the items by the 13th Dalai Lama. Written by Emma Martin.
