About this object

One of three pillar hangings for a temple. Embroidered in silk and metallic threads in a variety of stitches on to panels of blue, yellow and red silk, that finish in three triangular points adorned with tassles. There is a narrow border of alternating yellow and red in the same silk. The decorative design shows auspicious emblems including dragons.
