About this object

Small statue of Nagarjuna or pag pa lhu drup seated in yogic position both soles of the feet turned upwards, wearing simple robes with decorated borders. His hands in dharmacakra mudra. At the back of the figure is a hole for an aperture, which may have held a mandorla or halo for the statue. Figure seated on double lotus throne. Base and contents removed.
