About this object

A squat sugar bowl on three feet with two 'c' scroll handles. The bowl is made of brass and covered externally with medallions filled with floral designs, which are highlight in gilt, the body is filled with enamels in reds, whites, pale turquoise, and royal blue. The interior bowl is covered with gilding (a pair with milk jug 53.97.11).
