About this object

An embroidered belt for the front of the waist. Embroidered in petit point embroidery, using a geometric repeating flower roundel design. The background is in a madder red and the motifs in green, purple and yellow. The embroidery is bordered in green. At each end is a tablet woven silk purple cord at the end of one is just one pom pom of the same purple with a green twisted knot at the top, on the other is five pom poms, in purple, violet and green all with contrasting twisted knots at the join with the cord. The pom poms are figured around balls of felt.
