About this object

Small leather pouch possibly to hang from a belt. The oblong pouch of red leather widens at the base. It is stitched & embroidered with silk in a running chain stitch (tambour stitch). The front panel embroidered in large rosettes of yellow, white, grey and black on a red and white ground. The base of the pouch is a lighter red with a thin sheath pocket of thin green leather. There are two thin red leather straps that create a loop around the pouch.
