About this object

An embroidered belt for the front of the waist. Embroidered in petit point embroidery, using a geometric repeating scrolling flower design. The background is in a madder red and the motifs in green, red and yellow. The embroidery is bordered in purple. At each end is a tablet woven silk purple cord at the end of one is just one pom pom in golden yellow (other pom pom missing), on the other is two pom poms, in purple and yellow both with contrasting endless knots at the join with the cord. The pom poms are figured around balls of cotton.
