About this object

A triple layered streamer for a drum / Rnga chung / damaru. The two outer streamers made of a series of overlapping very faded rainbow coloured chevrons in a textured weave, the centre streamer is of Russian trade cloth in red, white and black with a sail ship motif. At the finial a red felt band is attached for the neck of the drum, it has two felt beaters and a shell disc holding the band in place. There are several silk tassels and a copper bell.
