About this object

A floor cushion or pillow of heavy Chinese silk brocade with large amounts of gold wrapped yarn. The floral pattern is bold and two-dimensional in greens, hot pinks, royal and navy blues and raspberry reds. The filling is still in place and likely to be duck or goose feather. The pillow has been created from a piece of silk that shows a selvedge line running horizontally acrossed the fabric.
