About this object

A large felt bag, described as a work bag. When picked up it becomes a large diamond shape. The main body of the bag is a diamond shaped piece of red felt that is surround by wider borders of green, yellow and blue felt. Visible on the top of the bag are a set of eight symbols appliqued in pairs and outlined with twill silk yarn. In addition there are groups of clouds at the opening. Attached at the base of the bag is a large blue silk tassle with a silver roundel fixing. The bag is lined with pink, yellow and black gingham check cotton. The bag has thick tablet woven indigo blue straps.
