Eileen Louise Younghusband

Daughter of Sir Francis Younghusband

Eileen Younghusband was the daughter of Sir Francis Younghusband, but in her own right she was internationally respected for her research in the area of social work. She corresponded for several years in the 1950s with Elaine Tankard, the curator at Liverpool Museum and both women and Mrs Frank Symthe worked together to bring the Younghusband collection to Liverpool. She was also responsible for ensuring that the material was donated to Liverpool Museum and taken out of the custody of Sir Francis Younghusband's mistress Lady Lees.
