About this object

A small boat-shaped bowl with pointed ends and carved decoration on the outside. The sides have double spirals with an elliptical shape in the centre. The patterns are carved using pakati (dog's-tooth notches) and haehae (parallel grooves) and ridges. The section around the rim and base is smooth with no carving.
