About this object

An adze blade in dark grey stone, possibly sandstone-greywacke, with an asymmetrical outline and rectangular cross-section. The poll is rounded. The surfaces of the butt and sides are bruised/ground, the other surfaces ground. The bevel appears to have been broken or flaked then ground. The bevel is concave, and the fracture edge or chin is curved. The cutting edge is curved. The front profile is convex, the back straight.

The cutting edge is blunt and chipped.
