About this object

Stout, rotund species with small head and rounded snout and short limbs. Back is deep purplish-brown or blackish-brown with a pair of dirty yellow stripes which bend sharply downwards towards the eye. Underside dirty yellow, extensively blotched or suffused with brownish-purple pigment. Males to 39 mm, females 53 mm.
