About this object

A snake-like lizard with robust body and elongated head with long, sharp, wedge-shaped snout. Colour varies from pale grey to cream, through shades of brown to nearly black, plain or patterned with stripes or blotches, often there is a cream stripe along the side of the head and neck. Length up to 65 cm.
