How do you stage a blockbuster exhibition like China’s First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors?

Join us for a special evening dinner on Tuesday 26 June where Fiona Philpott, Director of Exhibitions at National Museums Liverpool, will reveal how the story of China’s First Emperor was brought to life.

Sharing a fascinating glimpse into the making of the exhibition, Fiona will discuss the journey to bring this eighth wonder of the world to Liverpool; the inspiration behind the gallery’s design; the exhibition’s key themes and star objects. The talk will also explore how innovative technology has been used to transport visitors back to ancient China; enriching the objects on display and imaginatively interpreting the myths and mysteries surrounding the Emperor’s still unexcavated mausoleum.

Guests will also enjoy a drinks reception, entry into the exhibition, a three-course dinner and half a bottle of wine or two bottles of beer.

Tickets are priced from £65pp, which also includes entry into the exhibition (usually £14.50pp).

All profits support National Museums Liverpool.

Arrival is from 6.30pm, with carriages at 10pm.
