Henrietta Gurney

Collector of Antiquities

Donor of some Egyptian antiquities to Norwich Castle Museum in 1828 (acc. no. 61.28) presumably by bequest. She seems to the daughter of Henry Gurney (born 1721) and Elizabeth Bartlett (born 1731).

There seems to be some association with Belzoni and the tomb of Seti I. Various items now in World Museum include shabtis and a mummified kitten. We have no further information about Mrs Gurney.
