Pharaoh video transcript

I have some very good news for all my subjects. Today I wish to announce my marriage to the eldest and most beautiful daughter of the King of Hatti.

The great ruler has honoured me not only with his daughter's hand, but in recognition of my own greatness here in Egypt, has sent with her many fabulous gifts in every precious metal imaginable.

There are tables and chairs of ivory and ebony, bronze vessels, magnificent silver statues, an enormous bed of carob wood fashioned in the style of a throne and decorated with gold and countless precious stones...oh yes, and an impressive golden statue of the king himself.

These tributes are truly a mark of great respect and will further serve to unify our two great lands. Even the great god Seth has given his blessing by halting the heavy rain and freezing snow that normally makes crossing the remote mountains from Hatti to Egypt almost impossible at this time of year.

And as my future bride entered her new homeland, the troops and officials of both countries ate and drank together in unity like brothers. And as for the princess, she is surely the most beautiful and radiant of all the women who have so far had the honour of becoming the wife of the great Pharaoh.
