These are some of the different kinds of ant that are in my colony. We all have a different job to do based on our size. We call this a Caste system so there are nine different castes in the nest.
Another strange thing about my nest- mates is that we are all sisters. There are only females in the colony, when the males mated with my mother the Queen they all died and nearly every ant born after that is female. Follow a link to learn more about each.
