Natural world
At the Natural History Centre, we have a whole host of weird and wonderful objects. These include all sorts of animals, plants, fossils and minerals. Some of them are easy to identify, but others are more unusual.
Here we have a selection of objects photographed from strange angles. Can you guess what they are from the pictures and the clues?

This animal‘s name literally means ‘water horse’. It lives in Africa and spends most of its time in the water. Despite those scary-looking teeth, it‘s strictly a vegetarian. |

This animal lived a long time ago, during the late Jurassic period (154 -144 million years ago). It grew up to 12 metres (38 feet) long. From these sharp and pointy teeth, we can tell it was a meat eater. |

This creature lives in the forests of North America. It has also been introduced to parts of Europe and Asia. It lives in a lodge and its young are called kits. It was nearly hunted to extinction for its thick fur, but its numbers are increasing again. |
