World of the Warriors: travels with Qin Qin
Schools programme for China's First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors exhibition
Book your school visit
From February to October 2018 schools can visit the blockbuster exhibition China's First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors at World Museum featuring the spectacular terracotta warriors from the tomb of China’s First Emperor (221-210 BC), which were created more than 2,000 years ago.
This is a unique once in a life time opportunity for your class to experience the treasures of ancient China. We want younger visitors to be as excited about the exhibition as we are and we have a specially created programme.
Available schools days
Schools have exclusive use of the China's First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at a special reduced rate, at times before the general public gains access, on the dates shown below.
School groups can also book visits outside the school programme but please be aware that the gallery will be used by the general public and charges will differ. This will not include a school lunchroom booking.
On these dates schools may visit the exhibition alone or book the World of the Warriors primary school special offer. Further dates will be released when these are booked.
A trail will be available for use by key stages 1 and 2 students in the exhibition and needs to be requested at the time of booking. Please add your trail requirements to the 'Any questions or comments' section of the booking request form.
Visiting the exhibition with your school
The best times to visit the China's First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors exhibition, when it will be quietest, are early mornings, with bookings at 9.30am, 9.45am and to 10am. These are the only times when it is possible for schools to book an exhibition-only visit, without an accompanying workshop. Please note that your exhibition visit must be booked in advance.

All dates for an exhibition-only visit are now fully booked.
Due to high demand for school visits to this world class exhibition, please ensure that you are punctual. To ensure that all our schools get the very best from their visit, the museum needs to adhere rigidly to confirmed booking times.
