Planning your visit to the planetarium - public shows

An explosion in space

Public shows at the planetarium usually last about 30 minutes. Entrance is free but by ticket only (see below for more details).

Show times

Monday to Friday

  • 12pm and 3.15pm: The Autumn/Winter Night Sky
  • 2.30pm: Magnificent Desolation
  • 4.05pm: Wonders of the solar system

Weekend

  • 1.15pm: Sunshine
  • 1.45pm and 3.15pm: The Autumn/Winter Night Sky
  • 2.15pm: Magnificent Desolation
  • 4.05pm: Wonders of the solar system

School Holidays: Monday to Sunday (8 shows a day)

  • 10.45am: Wonders of the Solar System
  • 11.30am: Sunshine
  • 12pm: The Autumn/Winter Night Sky
  • 1.30pm: A Tale of Two Planets
  • 2.15pm: Sunshine
  • 2.45pm: The Autumn/Winter Night Sky
  • 3.15pm: A Tale of Two Planets
  • 4.05pm: Wonders of the solar system

Tickets

Admission to the planetarium is FREE, but you will need to collect a ticket in advance. Tickets are only available from the information desk on the ground floor of World Museum Liverpool (not at the planetarium door) and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Tickets can only be used for the show time stated on the ticket.
