Space and Time gallery

Pinks clouds in space with a bright star

Outside the Planetarium, on the third floor of the museum, is the Space and Time gallery. Exhibits currently on display include rockets, telescopes, meteorites, Moon rock and interactive computer displays. There is also a whole range of timekeeping devices, from ancient sundials to modern precision radio-controlled clocks.

The museum has produced a 'Space Quiz' booklet to accompany the Space and Time gallery. Particularly suitable for primary schoolchildren, the quiz involves looking at gallery exhibits to answer questions and drawing pictures of some of the exhibits. The booklets are free, but large school groups visiting the museum should request the number of booklets required well in advance of their visit.
