Specialist interests:

My prime interests are in meteoritics and the history behind the discipline, petrology and micropaleontology with an emphasis on benthic calcareous and agglutinating foraminifera and the role they play as indicators of environmental change in estuarine and near shore environments.  

Additional areas of interest lie in exploring the history of palaeobotany, early Mesozoic floras, the general history of geology, Palaeolithic studies and the development of Earth Science collections.
