Honorary Curator of Aculeate Hymenoptera (bees, wasps and ants)

Specialist interests:

A volunteer since 1991, Carl became an Honorary curator in 1994. He is responsible for the curation and development of NML's aculeate collection, is a major contributor to NML's biodiversity field surveys and is currently promoting public awareness of bumblebees in northern England. 

Current Research Projects

Aculeates of sand dune systems in Wales.

Author of a number of technical reports on aculeate conservation management.
