Guy Knight
Curator of Entomology
Specialist interests:
I am responsible for the development and collection management of the museum's nationally important insect and arachnid collections, which I aim to make available to as wide a variety of users as possible.
Central to my interests is the conservation biology of British insects, especially sawflies (Hymenoptera: Symphyta), and bees, wasps and ants (Hymenoptera: Aculeata).
I am particularly interested in the biodiversity and taxonomy of sawflies in Britain and the Western Palaearctic, and have recently become involved in co-ordinating the national distributional recording scheme for these insects. I am also active on the committee of the Bees, Wasps
and Ants Recording Society.
Current Research Projects
