Specialist interests:

My main research interests include New Zealand Maori art, sacred space and ritual performance, and the care of sacred artefacts in museums, especially the care of human remains. I am also interested in the spatial aspects of museum display and interactive display.

Current research projects:

I have just finished archival research on Australian human remains requested for repatriation. My next project will focus on the display of human remains in the United Kingdom, comparing displays in museums with remains displayed as sacred relics elsewhere.
