A table from the Sea's Edge

A man sitting on a wooden chair on top of a table

Discover this beautifully crafted artwork now on display at World Museum. 'A table from the Sea's Edge' is a table and chairs made from driftwood and was created by British furniture maker, Silas Birtwistle.

The artwork is being used to promote the conservation of the world's coastal and marine biodiversity. Silas travelled all over the world and collected wood found on the beaches of Belize, Vancouver Island, Tanzania and Borneo, which are all 'biodiversity hotspots'.
