Our ground floor Cafe is now open following an exciting redevelopment, complete with a delicious new menu serving all your favourites, all freshly made. Enjoy a selection of hot meals, salads, soups, sandwiches, cakes and hot and cold drinks in a stylish, comfortable setting perfect for families.
World Museum’s Cafe was once the grand examination hall of the Technical School of Liverpool which opened in 1901, and intricate plasterworks adorning the space depict messages meant to inspire the students who studied in the building more than 100 years ago. The renovation of the Cafe facilities has made a feature of the original architecture, allowing visitors to enjoy delicious food and drink in a beautiful historic setting.
Opening times: 10am – 4.30pm daily
Breakfast is available from 10 – 11.30am, and hot lunches from 11.30am – 3.30pm. A selection of salads, sandwiches, baguettes, wraps and panini are available from 11am – 4.30pm.

While maintaining the building's rich heritage, the recent redevelopment has allowed our events team to incorporate modern technology in to the space, from adaptable up-lighting to brand new catering facilities. The multi-functional nature of the space means we can cater for small, intimate gatherings as well as larger events, with capacity for up 300 people.
