Where to stay
Hope Street Hotel
Hope Street is the main artery through Liverpool’s Georgian neighbourhood - bookended majestically by the city’s two cathedrals. The street is home to the Everyman Theatre and Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, threaded with University departments, an eclectic collection of public art pieces and a plethora of independant resturants and infamous public houses. Sitting pretty in the middle is Hope Street Hotel, Liverpool’s original boutique hotel with 89 bedrooms and award-winning restaurant The London Carriage Works.
The simplicity of the design complements the original Victorian warehouse interior: pitch pine beams, pink Cheshire brick walls, oak floors and iron pillars. The style is contemporary and chic with an emphasis throughout on quality; solid birch floors, bespoke cherry wood furniture and over-sized beds draped in bright white Egyptian cotton. Room amenities include: REN toiletries, Pellegrino and Panna mineral waters, bathrobes and slippers, Nespresso coffee makers, complimentary Wi-Fi, Sky and BT Sports.
