19th century photograph album documenting the Liverpool docks and scenes from Port Said

19th century album containing 72 albumen prints by an unknown photographer. The prints document the Liverpool dock estate and scenes from Port Said, Suez Canal, and date between the 1860s-1880s. Of particular interest are photographs of the Liverpool Landing Stage fire of 1874, models of proposed overhead railway (opened in 1893), and improvements to the Seacombe ferry terminal in Birkenhead.
