3d bit or threepence coin, 1856. The obverse of the coin depicts an uncrowned young Queen Victoria. This was the most common image of Victoria used on coins from 1838 until 1887 when it was replaced with the Jubilee Head. The reverse of the coin shows a large number 3 with a royal crown above it. The date is split across either side of the 3. At the base of the coin is a large wreath.
