Ink inscription on verso: "The 9 Storey Pagoda about 300 years old, stands in a Temple garden but no one is allowed to climb up inside. The cornices are of Bright coloured porcelain & look very quaint as the subjects are so exotic". Part of collection of William Ernest Wakeham, purser, Blue Funnel Line.
