Adze

An adze blade with an asymmetrical outline in mid-grey stone, probably argillite. The butt section is rounded. Most of the butt and side surfaces are bruised, the rest polished. There is no distinct bevel, and no chin line. The cutting edge is curved. The front profile is concave, the back convex. There are labels on the front and back. The cutting edge is sharp and badly chipped.
