Adze

An adze or axe blade in pale yellow-grey and pink-banded stone. The outline is asymmetrical and the cross-section rounded rectangular. The butt is undifferentiated. The poll is rounded. The surface ground. There is a long irregular depression on one face. There are two bevels, one on the front and on the back, equal in size and both convex. There are no chin lines. The cutting edge is curved. Both profiles are convex. The cutting edge is blunt. There are four grooves and four white ink crosses on the face without the depression.
