Adze

An adze blade in dark grey-brown stone, possibly sandstone-greywacke, with a slightly asymmetrical outline and rounded quadrangular cross-section. The butt is undifferentiated. The surfaces are ground, with remains of bruising on the back, front, butt and sides. The poll surface is bruised. The bevel is convex, and the chin straight/irregular. The cutting edge is curved. The front and back profiles are slightly convex. The cutting edge is blunt with many small chips. There is a fracture on the blade front.
