Adze

An adze blade in grey stone with darker lines, weathering to pale brown. The outline is asymmetrical and the cross-section quadrangular. The butt surface is flaked and bruised, most of the blade is polished. The bevel is flat and the chin line oblique. The cutting edge is straight. The front profile is convex, the back convex, with an angle between the flaked and polished areas. The cutting edge is sharp and there is a sharp-edged fracture on the poll. There are the remains of a label on the front.
