Adze

An adze blade in grey stone weathering to orange. The outline is asymmetrical and the cross-section a rounded lozenge. The butt is undifferentiated and the poll oblique. The surface is bruised and ground. There are two convex bevels, one on the front and one on the back, of almost equal size, and no chin lines. The cutting edge is curved and is slightly asymmetrical in bottom view. Both profiles are convex. The cutting edge is blunt and chipped and there are old fractures on the butt.
