Alabastron

Alabastron (flask) with two unpierced lugs. Top part missing. Concretions - perhaps from a foundation deposit? Presented to the East Anglia Egyptian Society in 1925 from 'office stock' of the Egypt Exploration Society. Since 1956 assumed to be from Amarna but more likely another Egypt Exploration Society excavation such as Naukratis. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, rim missing, concretions, label adhered to surface, running cracks, surface dirt.
