Information

Large alligator with broad, flat head with rounded snout. The head, back and tail have a series of longitudinal rows of keeled, bony plates which form a strong armour. The limbs are short and sturdy, the feet are webbed and have sharp claws. Generally grey or black in colour. Total length 2-4.6 m.
