Amduat Papyrus inscribed for Djed-iset-iw-s-ankh



One of two papyrus rolls inscribed for the lady of the house, chantress of Amun-Ra, Djed-iset-iw-s-ankh. This is an abbreviated version of the Amduat ('What is in the Netherworld'). The papyrus is attached to paper backing. It had previously been kept under glass in a light oak picture frame until it was removed in 2008 during conservation. Other papyrus of Djed-iset-iw-s-ankh is 56.22.673. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Unsuitable mount, papyrus lifting and splitting in places, discolouration, surface dirt, frame in good condition.
