Amphora

Red ware pottery jug. Flat bottomed, wheelmade, tall, spiral groove on body with a handle at side. Found during the cutting of a road in Hadra, a district on the eastern side of Alexandria, 1887. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Chipped rim, chipped surface, concretions, surface dirt.
