Amulet with horns (perhaps in the shape of a cow's head?). Pierced twice. Carved from a translucent green stone with dark streaks. Purchased from John Garstang in 1949 who acquired it in Luxor. Similar in style two examples of greywacke amulets, dated to Naqada II period, published in 'Dawn of Egyptian Art', 2011, p.23 (Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology, Berkeley, no. 6-18226; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, no. 07.228.124).
