WAG 1998.102

Information

The Sculptor Edmund C Thompson worked with the Liverpool architect Herbert J. Rowse (1887-1963) on the distinctive 1930's decoration of the Mersey Tunnel entrances and ventilation towers, and the Philharmonic Hall in Hope Street. Its curving, streamlined forms are typical of the period.
