Architecture; Carving

A rectangular wooden post carved in the half-round with a flat back. The post takes the form of larger beaked humanoid figure holding a smaller (female) figure by the knees, with the top of its head in mouth in the larger figure's mouth. The larger figure has three-fingered hands and three-toed feet. The surface decoration includes plain grooved double spirals on the smaller figure's stomach and shoulders and the larger figure's shoulders, and rauponga (several parallel ridges and grooves with a notched ridge in between). There is a metal hook on the back.
