Information

Two armlets composed of twenty mother-of-pearl plaque beads found on the upper and lower right arm of a skeleton in Cemetery X at Hiw, grave X38. The burial was described by the excavator as being that of a child with a missing head. The beads are rectangular strips of mother-of-pearl (nacre) shell pierced at either end, threaded back together with new string in 1899.
