Forty six pieces of scale armor, discovered in the Palace of Apries at Memphis (Mit Rahina). Some complete, others fragments. Three ridged, some with holes some with 'hook'. Various sizes. All corroded brown flakey surface.. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 58280, "44 pieces. up to 1 3/4" long. From Memphis of the Persian Period, (see Memphis II, Palace of Apries 1909). Presented Sept. 1927 by Prof. Flinders Petrie, University College." CONDITION NOTE (1998): Corroded, flaking.
