Flint arrow-head. Tanged and barbed. Would have been hafted onto the end of a spear shaft, and used as a throwing device to hunt animals on land, or for spearing fish.
Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 26 June - 6 July 1922 (MacGregor Collection) Lot 1126, "Seven pigmy Arrow-heads, all in beautiful condition, a very interesting lot; same provenance as the foregoing [chiefly from Garstang's excavations at Beni-Hasan]".
