Information

Etrusco-Corinthian alabastron of attenuated shape with broad, flat base, angular body, torus-moulding at juncture of neck, small, flat-topped rim and short band-handle. Fine-textured, dull, dark tan clay; paint dull blackish-brown and dull, dark red. Painted decoration, from base upward: dark solid band; frieze of hares running to right; irregular bands of thin lines, reserved or solid brown over entire body; tongues on the neck-ring; solid lip; one horizontal line across handle. Intact.
