Ash Chest Lid

A lid made to fit an ancient ash chest, most likely 59.148.362a. As Davies notes (2007), the measurements of the double ash chest of Festiva and Flavia Onesime (59.148.362a) tally very well with those of the lid and they fit together well. The description of its lid in Blundell's 'Account' ('ornamented with scrolls and roses') might possibly apply to this lid.
